My First Wacom Bamboo Tablet

So I’ve finally taken the plunge and gotten myself a Wacom Bamboo tablet. It’s only a small one, but it works fine for me, and besides, it’s all I could afford! ;)

Wacom Bamboo Small Tablet

The only thing is, when I first set it up I was getting a few error messages, at first I thought maybe it was because I was running Windows XP, but it seems I hadn’t actually plugged it in correctly!

My brother and I bought a small Bamboo tablet at the same time, and we were both having troubles with it, then we found out the cable actually hadn’t clicked correctly into the back of the tablet. So if you ever get a weird error message such as “A supported tablet was not found on the system.” just make sure the tablet is plugged in then the button lights should come on.

My First Wacom Drawing

OK, so my drawings are still quite primitive! I’m still getting used to it ;)

    Thanks for the link to this blog from PhotoshopStar. I check almost daily, hoping for new content. I can’t even imagine providing a tutorial, so I’m not complaining. But I have bookmarked this new site and plan to visit regularly.

    Please say more about your Bamboo. I have been wondering about it. I use a Wacom tablet at work, but can’t afford one for home. The Bamboo is pretty reasonably priced, but can it really do much? Is it Mac compatible?

    Dejan: It’s fun to use for graphic design & drawing and stuff like that, but if you’re just a web designer I don’t think it will be of much use. Still fun to play with :)

    The sketch is pretty good, the Wacom takes getting used to. Could you make a sketch on my Wacom friendly sketch site - Sketchplanet?

    I *LOVE* you! ^^;
    Found this site when searching for the error message “A supported tablet was not found on the system”. Tried to disconnect and connect the cable again several times. After reading this, I used a little bit of violence and it works!~
